DESCRIPTION Named after Cuesta Benberry, a quilter and quilting historian. She was known for her archiving and research of Gee’s Bend, an isolated African American community in Alabama where a unique free-form style and tradition of quilting has been passed down through generations of women. The design is based on a traditional “crazy quilt” pattern. These quilts were made with asymmetrical geometric scraps and bits of fabric placed in an irregular, non-repeating fashion. It may seem random, but the outer edge has the same repeat on each side and can be rotated so the pattern connects on all four sides.
NOTES Repeat size 3.37 sf. Made to measure, custom finish and custom colorway available.
