Outside Architectural & Design (A&D) Representative

Known for our deep industry knowledge, extensive product offerings, and exceptional customer service, we are currently seeking a highly motivated Outside Architectural & Design (A&D) Representative to join our team, covering the Colorado Front Range area.

Responsibilities

  • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with architectural and design firms, developers, and builders—particularly those focused on boutique hospitality and high-end commercial projects.
  • Conduct tailored product presentations, accredited CEU courses, and lunch-and-learn sessions for targeted A&D firms.
  • Identify and develop new business opportunities through networking, referrals, project databases, and proactive market research.
  • Serve as a technical resource to clients throughout the design and specification process.
  • Manage and track specifications from initial concept through procurement and final project execution.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, including sales, marketing, and the VP of Sales, to align on project strategy and deliverables.
  • Represent the company at industry trade shows, professional events, and A&D networking functions alongside the Denver-based team.
  • Maintain detailed records in the CRM system, providing regular updates on client activity and pipeline development.
  • Stay current on market trends, competitor offerings, and emerging product innovations.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years of outside sales experience in high-end building materials, with direct engagement in the A&D community.
  • Strong understanding of the commercial construction process and a genuine passion for fixed finishes and materiality.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive product specifications and manage complex, design-driven sales cycles.
  • Excellent presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to convey technical details clearly and persuasively.
  • Highly self-motivated, with strong time management, organizational, and strategic planning capabilities.
  • Proficiency with CRM platforms, Microsoft Office, and digital presentation tools.
  • Willingness to travel regularly within the assigned territory. 75% travel expected.
