We are currently seeking a detail-oriented Showroom Assistant to support the daily operations of our Basalt showroom. This role can be full-time or part-time. Full-time positions include comprehensive benefits, while part-time schedules offer hourly pay and flexibility within a design-forward, collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure the showroom is clean, organized, and visually appealing at all times, including straightening materials and updating displays with the Showroom Manager.
 - Organize and maintain the sample room, including labeling, shelving, and categorizing tile, slab, and stone samples.
 - Assist with vendor sample replenishment and maintain appropriate sample inventory levels.
 - Unbox and process new product samples and deliveries.
 - Track and follow up on client orders; communicate order status as needed.
 - Hang and rotate display boards and product samples in accordance with visual merchandising guidelines.
 - Provide general administrative support to the sales team and showroom leadership.
 - Run general office errands as needed (e.g., post office, client lunches, local deliveries).
 - Greet and assist showroom visitors, ensuring a warm, professional, and helpful client experience.
 - Answer and route incoming phone calls; provide basic information, take messages, or connect callers with the appropriate team member.
 
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a customer service, retail, or showroom setting preferred.
 - Must be comfortable working on your feet for extended periods of time.
 - Ability to lift, carry, and move up to 40 lbs safely and independently.
 - Capable of hanging and adjusting display boards, as well as reorganizing and maintaining tile and stone displays.
 - Willingness to assist with showroom upkeep, including moving materials, unpacking shipments, and setting up visual displays.
 - Must be dependable, detail-oriented, and able to manage physically demanding tasks with care and efficiency.
 - Strong organizational skills and legible hand writing.
 - Friendly, professional demeanor with excellent verbal communication skills.
 - Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
 - Interest in design, interiors, or architecture is a plus.
 - Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation for running local errands.
