DESCRIPTION

Virginia Lightning is a striking handcrafted mosaic inspired by the quiet drama of coastal storm skies along Virginia’s Eastern Shore. Electric ribbons of blue, ivory, and warm metallic tones sweep across a deep black backdrop, creating a sense of movement and atmosphere.

This mosaic was designed as part of the Old Castle Collection by Jacquelyn Bizzotto for New Ravenna at Decorative Materials. Handcrafted in New Ravenna’s Virginia studio, this design combines polished glass with subtle silver mirror accents. The luminous surface shifts beautifully with changing light.

Designed as a statement piece, Virginia Lightning blurs the line between mosaic and fine art. Each tessera highlights the artistry, craftsmanship, and emotion behind the design.
